Filling up the Lightbucket

A little over 2 weeks ago, I signed up for Lightbucket. Lightbucket is a website that helps you track your astrophotography and see what others are imaging. My first Lightbucket-logged image was the Iris Nebula on July 1st. I’m now finishing my imaging session the night of July 15th/16th. I’m should pass 50 hours of imaging and reach 600 subframes tonight. For one telescope in a location that got hurricane Beryl remnants and quite a few other nights of clouds & rain, that seems pretty great for 16 days.

That imaging time includes 22 hours on the Iris Nebula and 25 hours on the Lion Nebula. It’s time to move on to the next target…
